Terms of Use

RawCut ("we", "us") is an iPhone app that turns your own video clips into short videos. These terms are the agreement between you and us for using the app. By installing or using RawCut you accept them. If you do not agree, do not use the app.
The service
RawCut reads the clips you choose from your Photos library, finds the moments that fit what you type, and cuts them into a finished vertical video you can save and share. Some steps use AI models run by third parties on our behalf; the privacy policy sets out exactly what is sent and what never leaves your iPhone.
Your account
You can use the free tier without an account. Creating videos beyond your first, subscribing to Pro and restoring a purchase require a free account, because your usage and your subscription are tied to it. Keep your login to yourself; what happens under your account is your responsibility. You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age in your country, to use RawCut.
Your videos stay yours
You own your clips and the videos RawCut makes from them. You give us only the permission we need to provide the service: to read the frames and audio you submit for analysis, to match and cut them, and to store the resulting project on your device and, for your account, the usage counters that make the free tier and Pro work. We claim no rights in your footage or your finished videos.
Free videos carry a small RawCut watermark. Pro videos do not.
What you may not do
Do not use RawCut with footage you have no right to use, to make content that is unlawful, that harasses or endangers others, or that infringes someone else's rights. Do not try to work around usage limits, reverse engineer the app, or use it to build a competing dataset or service. We may suspend accounts that do.
The free tier
The free tier includes a limited number of clip analyses and a free video allowance that renews weekly. Sharing a video you made can earn a bonus video. These amounts may change; the app always shows what you have left. Editing and exporting videos you already made is never limited.
RawCut Pro
RawCut Pro is a monthly subscription bought through Apple. The price is shown in the app before you subscribe. It renews automatically each month until you cancel, which you do in your App Store account settings at least 24 hours before the renewal date. Apple handles the payment and any refund under its own terms. Pro includes a monthly number of videos and clip analyses; fair-use limits apply to keep the service sustainable and are shown in the app.
AI output
The matching and cutting are automatic. The result can be wrong in ways a person would spot: a clip that does not fit the line, a moment cut too short. You decide what you keep, change or share. RawCut does not review your videos.
Sharing to other apps
When you post to TikTok, Instagram or any other app, that app's terms apply from the moment the video leaves RawCut. We only hand over the video you chose.
Availability and changes
We may change or pause parts of the service, for example when a third-party model is unavailable. We may update these terms; material changes will appear here with a new "Last updated" date, and continuing to use the app after that means you accept them.
Ending the agreement
You can stop using RawCut at any time and delete your account in the app under Profile, which removes your account data as described in the privacy policy. We may end your access if you break these terms.
Liability
RawCut is provided as is. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses, lost content, or damage that results from how you use the videos you make. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of the Netherlands. Disputes go to the competent court in the Netherlands, unless consumer law in your country gives you the right to go to court where you live.
